What's Direct Entry Program?
This course includes 3 parts:
September 5th - December 16th : Language Course (DEP Prep & DEP)
December 17th - February 26th: Summer Break
February 27th - End of June: University Courses (inc. Mid-break for a week)
Language Course September - December
This carriculam actually has 2 courses: DEP prep (5 weeks) & DEP (10 weeks)
In this course, you will be studying English language skills as well as preparing for your university semester in an English-speaking country.
So you get a lot of assignments and group works (e.g. 1200 words essay assignment)
class hours: Monday to Friday: 8:15 - 12:45 (break 9:45-10:15)

World Studies and Cultural Studies are not clearly separated.
In DEP Preparation, you will learn about basic English knowledge and manly prepare for DEP, literally.
You can improve: Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking

Studies
You will have to study 2 hours a week on your computer or in a computer room about English skills.
You can improve: Grammer, Vocabulary, Reading, Listening, Writing
DEP - 10 weeks -
Language in Use
You will study grammer, vocabulary and basic knowledge about improving English level.
You can improve: Grammer, Vocabulary, Reading, Listening

Research Preparation & Practice
You will learn about many types of research methods and writing skills, which will be required after you get into study abroad program and come back to Soka University

Critical Thinking
You will learn about how to think critically, which will be required in your life and how to express your opinion through debates and essay writing.
You can improve: Speaking skill, writing skills, debate skills
Issues in Society
You will have to read articles (about 10 pages) before a class, and discussions are done in the class to more deeply understand the article.
You can improve: Reading, understanding issues in the global world, discussion skills

What is Study Abroad Program?
In this course, you are simply going to study at Griffith University as international students for the whole semester. You will take 3-5 subjects held on Nathan/Mt.Gravatt campus. You are studying with many native people and some international students.
